We braved the crowds, bad animal odors, and carnival food today. It was bliss. Had to quickly post one of my favorites from the day. Can’t wait to play with the rest….

…of course I had to take my toys to the fair….most of these images were taken with a Lens baby and the image below is a simulated ttv (through the viewfinder).

I have been busy shooting some amazing families the past few weeks and cannot wait to share those images, once they have a chance to send out their lovely Christmas cards. So, I decided that this year I would not procrastinate shooting my own kids and creating our cards and for once, maybe do something a little different and incorporate a little piece of me into the images. I am a sucker for anything vintage, and my Dear Sweet husband can certainly attest to that with a garage full of old beat up chairs and home full of vintage linens, dishes and furniture. But the most endearing of all would have to be the old cameras I inherited from my grandmother. One of these days I will find the time to shoot with them, and rediscover my love of film. Until then, they will just have to serve as eye candy

Addison loves *her* new camera….

and of course….Jesse would not be Jesse, without showing off some sweet jumps….

After years of Thomas the train, tonka trucks and boy themed birthday parties, I am immersing myself in all that is girlie! Addy however, would rather play with the trucks and trains…but I think I may have finally won her over to the “pink” side with all this ladybug flair.

After playing with glue and googlie eyes, pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks, we moved onto a a little bug catching….

I can’t believe our baby girl is three years old.
Sometimes, I admit, that I get lazy in my personal life and just don’t feel like dragging out the camera….but lately, I have been somewhat driven to document all the little moments that in years past I have let slip by without so much as a snapshot. I simply adore this time of year, and have sworn to soak up every bit of it this year as opposed to allowing my frenzied state of mind rob me of joy. Next month, Addy turns 3 and Gage 13….I just cannot believe how fast the time has gone. We are not even going to discuss the fact that Jesse will be 15 and driving a few months from now! So, I am taking a much needed break to spend every joyful moment of the holidays, Christmas and upcoming birthdays with the kids. I will start booking sessions again towards the middle of January. And once again, what would a blog post be without a few pictures….

With peanut butter and sugar coated hands, I attempted to capture Addy helping to bake cookies. Now my camera smells like peanut butter and is covered in gritty finger prints….and I truly could not be happier.
