After discovering this tree in my parents back yard, this scene came to mind and I knew I had to do it for me and my Addy. A bit overboard for me I suppose, but it was pure fun : )

After years of Thomas the train, tonka trucks and boy themed birthday parties, I am immersing myself in all that is girlie! Addy however, would rather play with the trucks and trains…but I think I may have finally won her over to the “pink” side with all this ladybug flair.

After playing with glue and googlie eyes, pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks, we moved onto a a little bug catching….

I can’t believe our baby girl is three years old.
This young man recently received his First Communion and I was thrilled to capture these very special images for him and his family. He did such an amazing job! I was impressed by his endurance through the sweltering summer heat- in a suit no less- and my insane need to capture every little detail. Thanks “M” family, for allowing me to capture this special milestone in your sons life!

Addy and I recently had the pleasure of spending the day with my beautiful and talented photographer friend, Jennifer and her gorgeous daughters. They came all the way down from Tampa to have a girls day out! Our girls all have names that sart with the letter “A” and they are around the same age! How cute is that? It was a match made in heaven, and they pretty much ran the show once we arrived at the beautiful Selby Gardens in Sarasota. Despite seeing a 100 6 foot corn snake emerge from the tree right next to the one our girls were playing in, we had a blast. It was quite comical as Jenn and I chased the girls around with our cameras, laughing all the while at what typical PK’s (photographer’s kids) they are! Black box in front of lady’s face must mean….to run away as fast as you can! Well, we had a great time anyway, and sometimes it’s cool to just be in the moment and enjoy the kids being kids. And that is pretty much what we did

It seems I used to take her picture everyday but lately I just have not taken the time to even grab a few snap shots of my girl. It occurred to me the other day just how much she is growing up. Perhaps it was this conversation at bedtime that made it quite clear…Me: (to addy) Goodnight sweetie cakes, mommy loves you Addison: Mommy, i not sweeties cakes, I aheson (cannot pronounce the d’s) Me: (stunned and slightly confused) Oh, well, your my sweetie cakes and yes baby, you are Addison too! Addy: No, mommy, I a-he-son Me: Well, mommy loves you so very much and you are such a smart little girl Addy: I know mommy Now it’s just a big game….we call her sweetie cakes and she screams “No! A-he-son!” with a big fat grin. I can’t wait to see what she says next week. Well, it just wouldn’t be a post without a few pictures….so here are a few random shots of sweetie cakes Addison taken in the last month or so
